What it is?

Biological feedback (BOS) is a technology that includes a set of non-medical, physiological, preventive and curative procedures, during which a person through an external feedback loop, organized primarily with the help of microprocessor or computer technology, is being presented information about the status and changes of his or her own physiological processes.

Visual, auditory, tactile and other stimulus signals allow the patient to develop self-regulation skills through training and increasing the lability of regulatory mechanisms.

BOS-therapy demonstrates how we can use our consciousness to directly control our own body, analyzing the signals of the nervous system.

The method allows a natural, drug-free method to optimize the normal physiological functions of the body and correct the disturbed ones. An obligatory condition for the BOS-therapy is the patient's motivation to achieve the result. Thus, the use of biological feedback turns the patient from the object of medical interventions into an active and interested participant.

The duration of one session is 20 - 30 minutes. However, to achieve control and retention of these skills, a  large number of sessions is required, on average 20-30.

For the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2012, BOS-therapy was recognized as the most effective method.

In the work with children, the method of BOS-therapy is often the most adequate means of treatment, since the long-term effect of therapy is achieved through training - the main and most natural task for the developing brain.

In our center we currently use Stobilan's posturograph and Interactive Metronome Rithm-BOS.

Interactive metronome

Does your child need this?

Classes with an interactive metronome are assigned to children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders (early childhood autism, Asperger syndrome), mental retardation, cerebral palsy, speech rate disorders, children after brain injuries and/or spinal cord injuries.

What problem does it solve?

Interactive metronome stimulates brain activity, which is necessary for the processing of sensory information coming from outside. This contributes to the development of the ability to plan activities and stabilizes behavioral responses.

How classes are conducted?

The work is built on the principle of "feedback". The child should knock on a special tape in accordance with the rhythmic beeps of the metronome. Sensory tape allows you to assess the accuracy of the child's response.

Interactive metranome is available from the age of 4-5.
